The Bunn Special represents the most iconic railroad watch offered by the Illinois Watch Company.

The No. 114 dial is the most recognizable dial furnished with the Illinois 16-Size Bunn Special watches. Starting around 1918, the company introduced this dial, featuring extra heavy Arabic numerals, bold five-minute arrow indicators, and “Illinois” marked using the updated arched style.

While other dials were also available, including the popular marginal minute style originated by H.S. Montgomery, the No. 114 dial remained the standard option for the Bunn Special until the Hamilton Watch Company purchased the Illinois factory in 1927.
