Waltham Crescent Street Model 1870: “Woerd’s Patents” Marking
What do most artists do when they finish a work of art? They sign their name to it, of course. The same is true with the masterpiece that Charles Vander Woerd created at the Waltham factory. The Model 1870 Crescent Street movements are marked “Woerd’s Patents” on the inside pillar plate. Some artists work with oil paint on a canvas while others prefer brass and steel.
